Stonegate is privately owned and operated by Greenville Retirement Community, LLC. 

As a condominium community, residents purchase their units, receive a deed, and pay New Castle County property taxes. Cottage and apartment prices and fees vary according to location and amenities. Upon a resident's departure, the cottage or apartment will be repurchased by Greenville Retirement Community, LLC as outlined in the original purchase contract.

Monthly fees include the following:

  • Lunch or Dinner daily from an ever-changing selective menu in the dining room
  • Planned social and recreational programs
  • Transportation to planned outside activities
  • Regularly scheduled linen and maid service
  • All utilities are provided except telephone (basic cable TV is provided) for apartments and there is a utilities allowance for cottages (see above)
  • Scheduled maintenance of buildings and grounds
  • Intranet (private in-house website) for resident and staff community communication and sharing
  • Property insurance
  • Individual U.S. mail and message boxes
  • Parking in designated areas for residents and their guests
  • Licensed Medicare approved Health Center staffed by professional nurses to care for illnesses
  • Emergency communication from all cottages and apartments to the Health Center 24 hours a day
