David Hoopes shared with us his first-hand experience investigating Pan Am flight 103, also called Lockerbie bombing, where the passenger airliner operated by Pan American World Airways exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21, 1988, after a bomb was detonated. All 259 people on board were killed, and 11 individuals on the ground also died. David was in the senior positions with the Department of State and the Central Intelligence Agency working on crisis management and counterterrorism.
